The international office organises the event exchange day on 11th Oct. The event is open for all students to learn everything there is to know about studying abroad.
After almost two years, the international office is organising the International Exchange Day for the students. The event is open for the students to be informed about their exchange studies. We spoke to Malin Svensson of the International office for more information about the event.
Karlstad University offers students of different disciplines an exchange program at various international universities. You can meet representatives from student councils, teacher education programme leaders, the international office, incoming exchange students, and previous year outgoing students.
The local students may find it extremely helpful if they get to talk to students from these exchange universities. Therefore, the event is also for incoming exchange students to let others know about their universities. They would be provided with a station to display all the information they have about their university. It would also be an exciting place to meet locals as well as other international students.
We have also spoken about the experiences of exchange students. Malin told us that the feedback has overall been very positive.
– It is natural for students to feel nervous at the beginning. It could be difficult to figure it out by themselves in a new city. But they have only gotten better as time progresses.
One may find it challenging at the beginning with a new academic system. Once several of these initial jitters cease, it will be an overall smooth journey. Students find it the best time in their lives. They see themselves grow as they spend their time abroad.
So far, the university has been able to offer exchange studies for everyone who wants to pursue them. The Exchange day is definitely an unmissable event for all students keen on going for exchange studies.
Importantly the organisers are offering ice cream at the event around “13.30”.
