    Karlstads studenttidning has questioned a number of students about their reading preferences.

  2. Three different ways of reading

    Sometimes the number of pages of course literature seems endless. Reading becomes a chore, and perhaps reading for the sake of fun just is no fun anymore? It can be hard to work up any enthusiasm for reading, even for your favorite Harry Potter book or the latest thriller from that author you love. However, today there are more ways to read than the classic hardback novel, and perhaps getting your reading groove back means trying something new?

  3. Från Mount Everest till skolbänken

    Han har cyklat femhundra mil tvärs över USA och levt äkta ­Robinson-liv på en öde ö. Förra året klättrade han uppför Mount Everest till Base Camp på 6000 meters höjd, och så sent som i oktober tävlade han i Spartan Race World Champion­ship, VM i världens tuffaste hinderbane­lopp. Han gör skäl för sitt mellannamn Viking. Trots detta är frågan om det inte är en ännu större ­utmaning att nu sätta sig i skolbänken?

  4. A winter’s tale

    It’s that time of year again – when the days are much shorter and the nights much longer. Darkness seems to both greet us in the morning and send us off to sleep at night. But that doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. There is at least one positive aspect to derive from the winter season besides the imminent approach of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and that is the fact that it’s the perfect time for cozy movie nights. Whether an old childhood classic like Home Alone is your favorite, or you’d rather plow through more than twelve hours of watching Frodo from The Lord of The Rings, you can rest assured knowing that the possibilities of winter movie madness are endless. All you need is a computer/TV, a comfortable place to enjoy the view from and some really good snacks.

  5. ”Utbildningen är en väldigt bra grund att stå på”

    Ett program som definitivt är djupt förankrat i praktik är sjuksköterskeprogrammet, där praktik är integrerat i programmet varje termin. Kristin Jönsson, 25 år, börjar sitt andra år på programmet hösten 2015 och kan berätta om hennes upplevelser av att praktisera.

  6. Praktiskt med praktik

    Det är inte alla utbildningsprogram på högskolor och universitet som har praktik på schemat, men kanske skulle fler programstudenter haft nytta av det?
